Who it's for
Trucking is the pilot priority. These are the use cases the hardware and platform evaluation is designed to validate.
Evaluate powered reporting for Class 8 tractors, with planned mileage reporting after the platform path is validated.
Evaluate a battery tracker on excavators, generators, and attachments, with planned movement and geofence alerts.
Planned map visibility for cargo vans, pickups, and utility trucks, with geofencing in the pilot roadmap.
Evaluate a wireless tracker with a swappable non-rechargeable battery on dry vans, reefers, and flatbeds.
Evaluate magnetic mounting and motion-based reporting for parked RVs, boats, campers, and powersports assets.
Evaluate a concealed powered tracker for cars and other personal vehicles; consumer safety features are not yet available.

How it works
The pilot is evaluating a hardwired Teltonika FTM880 as TP056 and a battery-operated Teltonika TAT141 as TP057. Both support multi-constellation GNSS and LTE-M; the TAT141 also supports NB-IoT. Device ingestion, maps, geofences, alerts, reports, carrier coverage, and ELD-adjacent workflows are planned pilot work—not currently available TruckerPro services. New to the technology? Built rugged
Both candidate devices support LTE-M; the TAT141 also supports NB-IoT. Actual carrier, roaming, and geographic coverage will be established during the pilot.
Multi-constellation GPS and GLONASS pin location accurately in dense yards, lots, and canyons.
The TP057 candidate uses a replaceable, non-rechargeable 2200 mAh battery. The hardwired TP056 candidate has a 320 mAh backup battery. Runtime depends on configuration, reporting frequency, signal, and temperature.
The Teltonika TAT141 is rated IP68; the FTM880 is rated IP69K. Pilot installation and operating limits still apply.
Choose your tracker
The pilot will compare the hardwired TP056 candidate for powered assets with the battery-operated TP057 candidate for unpowered assets. Neither model is currently for sale from TruckerPro.

Why TruckerPro
The pilot is being designed alongside TruckerPro TMS workflows. GPS ingestion and TMS integration still need to be built and validated.

GPS asset tracking
A private evaluation of rugged GPS hardware for fleet and asset use cases in the United States and Canada.
TruckerPro Telematics is evaluating Teltonika hardware for trucks, trailers, equipment, vans, RVs, and personal vehicles. Both candidates use multi-constellation GNSS and LTE-M; the TAT141 also supports NB-IoT. TruckerPro has not yet selected carrier service, established coverage, or launched a customer map.
The intended software work includes location history, geofences, movement alerts, and useful mileage summaries, with possible TruckerPro TMS integration. Those capabilities are pilot goals, not production features. This is asset and location tracking research, never an Hours-of-Service system.

The planned service would be separate from ELDs such as Samsara, Motive, or Geotab and would not replace an Hours-of-Service system. No ELD integration is currently offered.

Teltonika manufactures the hardware candidates. TruckerPro is evaluating the IP69K-rated FTM880 and IP68-rated TAT141 for a future service.
