The honest framing
McLeod is a deeper and more mature product than TruckerPro, and it would be silly to claim otherwise. Forty years of development against large-carrier requirements produces capability that a newer system does not have.
The question is not which is more capable. It is whether the capability matches the operation paying for it. Enterprise software assumes an enterprise around it: an implementation project, training, and someone internally who owns the system. A 25-truck carrier where the owner also dispatches is a different buyer.
The Canadian dimension
McLeod is built in and for the United States. For a Canadian carrier the familiar gaps are provincial tax, National Safety Code and CVOR records, dual-currency loads, and customs documentation. Ask specifically how each is handled rather than whether Canada is "supported" — see what Canadian carriers need.
