Advantages of GPS Tracking
Fleets buy GPS tracking for visibility they cannot get from a phone call. The advantage is only as good as the reporting interval, the coverage, and the application on top.

- Safety, IFTA, and theft-recovery benefits belong only to products that actually provide them.

Advantages that are usually real

Advantages that are often oversold
- IFTA-ready mileage. Location crumbs can feed a report; they are not an IFTA filing. TruckerPro does not offer IFTA reports.
- Theft recovery. A ping is not a recovery team. Covert installs also have legal limits.

How to measure whether GPS paid for itself
Pick two or three operational metrics before install: time to locate a trailer, detention documentation rate, after-hours movement events acted on, or customer ETA callbacks. If you cannot name the metric, you are buying a story. The TruckerPro pilot is meant to test whether Teltonika hardware plus a future application can move those metrics—not to assert that they already do.
